Men's Soccer:

I couldn’t be more excited to finally kick off our season. It’s been quite the transition this summer, but I have settled into Maine and am thrilled to call Waterville home. The last couple of months have been spent familiarizing myself with the program while doing my best to build rapport with our student-athletes via phone calls and Facetimes prior to the fall season.

An emphasis of ours moving forward will be to further enhance our men’s soccer student-athlete experience through team events. We hosted three different opportunities this preseason with the first being a cookout / pool party for all players and their family members at the end of move-in day. This was followed by a half-day exploration of the Old Port in Portland; surprisingly, not many of our guys have experienced Portland away from the Jetport. The signature event, occurring when the first-years were on their COOT experiences, was our first annual “Returners Invitational,” a 36-hole, stroke play event at a nearby mini-golf course with bragging rights on the line.

Your support allows us to provide our student-athletes with the required platform to push their continued growth and development as we create a pathway towards success (and sustaining it) in NESCAC play. A lot of work has already been completed to modernize the program, and I’m excited to continue this process with your support. I will be sure to provide updates during the season and hope to hear from many of you throughout the campaign. If we are coming to a town near you, please let me know if you plan to attend!

Women's Soccer:

I am excited to begin my second season at Colby, with a team returning from one of the most successful years in program history. As we head into preseason, here are a few exciting highlights:

• Returning all but three players from last year’s roster
• Welcoming a diverse international class of talented first-year players
• Opening the season ranked 15th in the nation in the initial United Soccer Coaches poll
• Adding experienced goalkeeping coach Yuri Nascimento, who joins our other assistant coaches Kaylyn Krul and Chad Sisson ’96
• Building an enthusiastic and engaged parent group
• Growing a dynamic and passionate alumni board for Colby Women’s Soccer

Most of all, we are excited to see the team in action! We are building on an amazing team culture, built and nurtured by generations of players who came before. Thank you for your continued support as we move forward with the loftiest of goals.
