Whether it’s the Women’s Club, founded five years ago by the Class of 2024, or the Men’s Club, officially recognized in 2023, Club Lacrosse is a testament to student drive. These programs were born from a simple desire: to create a competitive, inclusive space for athletes who want to represent Colby with pride on the field. From competing against regional rivals like UNE, UMaine, and Bates to fostering a supportive community on campus, our clubs bridge the gap between varsity intensity and recreational play.
Unlike varsity programs, our clubs rely on limited institutional funding to remain operational. To keep the game accessible to every student—regardless of their skill level or financial situation—we must raise the resources necessary to run a safe and professional program.
Donations this season will go directly toward the essential logistics of the sport for both our men's and women's teams:
- Game Day Essentials: Covering referee fees and hosting costs for home matchups.
- Travel and Logistics: Providing transportation to allow our teams to represent Colby across New England.
- Infrastructure and Safety: Purchasing high-quality gear, balls, and training tools to ensure a professional and safe practice environment.
- Inclusive Access: Reducing out-of-pocket costs so that any student who loves the game has the opportunity to play.
Your contribution fosters more than just athletic skill. It supports a culture of leadership, physical health, and lasting friendships that define the student experience on Mayflower Hill.
