About True Blue ’26

Since becoming an official club sport in 2023, Club Cricket has quickly grown into a vital community hub. The club serves a dual purpose: it offers a “piece of home” for students from cricket-loving regions and introduces the sport to a new audience here in Maine, where the game is not yet a common standard. We are building a community where students, many of them international, can find a sense of belonging through both recreational and competitive play.

Club Cricket has rapidly expanded its roster to compete at a high level. This past fall, the team traveled to Georgetown University to represent Colby in regional competition. However, because there are few cricket clubs in the immediate area, our team must travel significantly further than other club sports to find competitive matches.

Your support ensures that financial barriers don't keep our players off the pitch. We are currently fundraising to cover:

  • Travel and Lodging: Funding the long-distance trips required to find regional opponents.
  • Equipment: Providing high-quality gear for both seasoned players and those learning the game for the first time.
  • Club Events: Supporting watch parties, instructional clinics, and social events that strengthen our campus community.

By supporting travel and equipment, you are helping international and domestic students alike find community and competition through this global game.
