Tracing its roots back to the 1980s, the Colby Cycling Club has a long-standing legacy on Mayflower Hill. After being dormant for several years, the club was officially revived in 2025 to bring the joy of cycling back to the student body. Today, it serves as a powerful way to connect students from diverse backgrounds through a shared passion for exploration, exercise, and the great outdoors.
Our mission is to make cycling an inclusive experience, ensuring that interest in the sport is the only requirement for entry. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to experience the Maine landscape by bike. By providing funds for bike rentals and essential spare parts, the club reduces the financial barriers that often keep people out of the sport. Your support allows us to build a truly accessible community where students can make lasting friendships while finding a healthy outlet for group exercise.
For those interested in the competitive side of the sport, your generosity covers the vital logistics of racing. This includes entry fees, memberships, and the costs of travel, food, and lodging for away competitions. Furthermore, your gifts help us provide Colby Cycling kits, which do more than just outfit our athletes; they allow our members to proudly represent the College and spark new conversations whenever they are out on the road.
