As one of the more seasoned organizations on campus, Colby Figure Skating has a long-standing tradition of athletic artistry and school spirit. The club’s primary goal is to remain active throughout the entire academic year, providing a consistent platform for students to hone their skills and perform in multiple shows and exhibitions annually.
To ensure our skaters can train safely and effectively, we are fundraising for several critical operational needs:
- Accessible Equipment: We aim to provide high-quality figure skates for club athletes who may not have their own, removing the financial barrier to entry.
- Safety and Maintenance: Funding will go toward professional skate sharpening tools to ensure the longevity of our equipment and the safety of our skaters on the ice.
- Securing Ice Time: We are fundraising for consistent rink reservations. Because ice time on campus is in high demand, dedicated funding allows us to secure the practice hours necessary for our athletes to stay competitive.
- Team Identity: Donations will support official club uniforms, ensuring our skaters represent Colby with pride and professionalism when attending shows and regional events.
