Colby Water Polo is one of the College’s most storied programs, with a history dating back to the early 1900s. As a member of the National Collegiate Water Polo Association (NCWPA), we compete year-round in the North Atlantic Division—fielding a men’s team in the fall and a women’s team in the spring. We are proud to maintain a legacy of toughness, skill, and teamwork that has spanned generations of Colby students.
Each year, our teams participate in six major tournaments, traveling across New England to compete against top regional rivals. To maintain our standing in the league and provide a high-quality experience for our athletes, we are fundraising to cover:
- League and Tournament Dues: Ensuring our teams remain active members of the NCWPA and are registered for all divisional championships.
- Travel and Logistics: Covering the essential costs of transportation, fuel, and overnight accommodations for our away tournaments.
- Specialized Gear: Providing the official uniforms and equipment necessary for this physically demanding sport.
A cornerstone of our team culture is that anyone can join, regardless of their prior experience with the sport. However, the specialized equipment required—specifically water polo suits—can be a significant personal expense. Your donations help us provide a team suit for every member, ensuring that financial background never prevents a student from jumping into the pool and becoming part of the team.
