Established in 2022, the Club Women's Soccer team has grown exponentially in our first few years. Beginning with only a handful of members, weekly practices now consistently have 15–35 attendees. Recently, we traveled down to Boston to compete in the Beanpot tournament for the third year in a row, placing second after a nail-biting loss to Boston University.
With weekly practices and consistent games against other colleges throughout the year, the club provides a tight-knit social community and the opportunity to play the game we all love. While soccer is, thankfully, a relatively low-cost sport, there are additional expenses, such as new soccer balls, league fees, futsal goals, lodging, and team meals after games, that we need to raise money to cover!
Colby Club Women’s Soccer is a space where people can meet and socialize, finding others who share a common interest in soccer and competition. The funds allocated to this organization will help provide us with more opportunities to play together and improve the quality of our practices and games, giving our members the best possible experience during their participation in the club.
